How to Identify a Mexican Block

Chris Neighbors was kind enough to take these pics of his new Mexican block he picked up at a swap meet. This baby is beefy!

Image one (1) shows the side view of the "boss", slightly covering the oil pressure sender. Also, note the boss below it, even with the hole in the filter adapter, and the web going to it...

Image two (2) shows the front view, and you can easily see the drivers side bosses (which are the most obvious), but also note the two (even though partially machined away) on the passenger side. One to the right (in the picture) of the tapped boss, and the other just to the left of the first cover fastener location.

The following pics show the stock main cap up next to the Mexican cap. Although it doesn't approach the size of an A4 cap, the Mexican is beefier than the "stock" ones.
